In partnership with the Assembly of Seven Generations, an Indigenous youth-led organization, we ran a pilot program for Indigenous (First Nations, Metis, and Inuit) youth in Ottawa.
Indigenous young people were supported to become digital ambassadors, social innovators, and community leaders, and many delivered entrepreneurship training to other Indigenous youth in their community. Young people who participated in the pilot have gone on to start businesses, find jobs, and launch Indigenous advocacy projects of their own.
Headquartered in Ottawa, DOT also advocates for Canada to purposefully engage youth – particularly young women and Indigenous youth – as decision-makers and key contributors to policy and innovation programs.
