Making a #CaseForChange in Rwanda
Did you know that Rwanda is one of the top five global leaders in gender equality?
In Rwanda, 86% of women are in the workforce – one of the highest rates in the world – and women represent 64% of Rwandan parliament. It’s one of only five countries in the world that has closed at least 80% of its gender gap. [World Economic Forum, 2017]
But there is still work to do.
And that’s where #CaseforChange comes in.
DOT is excited to have partnered with GSMA’s #CaseforChange campaign to feature the transformative work we’re doing with the Government of Rwanda’s Ministry of ICT to close the gender digital divide and ensure that women in Rwanda can access digital opportunities.
#CaseforChange is a global campaign to draw attention to the significant impact that mobile technology is having on the lives of more than 5 billion people around the world. It puts the spotlight on the work of the mobile industry to help achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and, in doing so, connect everyone and everything to a better future.
